Yesterday I spent about 5 hours downloading the Mpeg2 file of the Sherlock Holmes movie "Terror by Night" starring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce only to discover that it has no soundtrack. Any assistance in correcting that problem will be greatly appreciated.

Try a different video player like VLC.

What program are you using to view the film?

Instead of saying the movie has no soundtrack, you should have said something like "Windoze Media Player produces no sound when playing the film."

Don't complain about a file without telling us the software that you are using. Maybe the program is botched and substandard, not the file. For example, a reviewer of another film here recently wrote: "my windows media player refused to play the film, but VLC did without any problem."

Did you run ffmpeg -i on the file? Did it show a soundtrack?

Did you view the movie with the free program VLC? If not, why not? Do you prefer to use substandard, crippled software instead?
